The Advantages of Bill Consolidation Loans

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jeanette_Pollock]Jeanette Pollock Many people nowadays are in debt. There is no denying that most things we acquire nowadays are gotten through debt. Some people find paying through credit cards more convenient than using cash. Still others find that the lure of acquiring material things is just too much to resist when you don’t have to pay for it yet. Some people though, experience emergencies when they have to pay for services they can’t afford yet. We depend on credit to get us through difficult times. Let’s face it: no one can claim to never to have used credit. It is a part of life. One thing that we also experience is the fact that we do not owe money to just one person. We can have debts from different institutions during our times. Each of these debts has its own interest rate. Some debts have high interest, some debts have low interest. Some debts have short life spans, while some debts can be paid off for years. Bill consolidation is when you unify all of these bills into one debt with one single interest rate. Most people nowadays make use of bill consolidation loans in order to achieve this. Bill consolidation loans means taking out a loan in order to pay off all of your other debts. This means turning your unsecured bills, into a secured loan. What are the advantages of bill consolidation loans? Well, here are some of those: 1. Time -in acquiring a bill consolidation loan, you get yourself a more sensible timeframe in which to pay off your debts. You extend your debt if you consider getting a bill consolidation loan. If, for example, a bill is overdue, and you are afraid the repossession people will come knocking at your door, getting a bill consolidation loan will gain you more time -time that you can use to get the money needed to pay off your bills. 2. Money -everyone knows about interest. Paying interest is like having to pay more because you can’t pay. Paying interest on a debt is like watching your money go up in flames. If you acquire a bill consolidation loan, you may end up with an interest rate much lower than the interest rate you pay on your original debt. This means you can save more money. In acquiring bill consolidation loans, you can save yourself the trouble of paying a huge interest on debts you know you cannot pay yet. 4. Assurance -in acquiring a bill consolidation loan, you need to secure that loan with collateral. Whether it is your house, car, or whatever possession, you can finally be at ease knowing that your debt is secured. This would allow the lending company to give you more time and more convenience. After all, they have your house in their hands, right? This gives you more time and the peace of mind you need to think your debts through. Do not be fooled, though. You are still in debt, albeit to another person. Some people think that in acquiring bill consolidation loans, they are free of their obligations. This is not the case. You still need to pay, as we all do someday. Hey, you did borrow, did you not? Probably the best advice anyone can give you is you should never spend more than you ought to. This would definitely save you the trouble of looking for bill consolidation loans. Jeanette Pollock is a freelance author and website owner of BillConsolidationHQ.com. The Peace that Keeps

Monday, May 26th, 2008

By Mark E. Baker Philippians 4:6. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Have you ever stopped to consider that God’s peace keeps us? The word that we just read said it does. It keeps our hearts or spirits, and it also keeps our mind or soul. In todays world you see all kinds of self help programs designed to help people deal with everyday life situations. Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on therapy and anxiety disorder programs that are designed to help people cope with every day stresses. I am not discouraging these things or saying they are wrong in and of them selves but I am saying God’s Word is showing us a better way. I realize in our extremely busy paced lives, it is sometimes easy to forget the reason for our very existence. We are here to serve God. God our Father wants us to be happy and blessed, not stressed and vexed, yet that is the way most people are. That is because they dont know the One who gives life and peace. Jesus said this very thing. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus talking to His disciples is saying He has given us His peace. This is not the kind of peace that comes from having lack of pressure; it is the peace that comes regardless of what life throws your way. We dont live in a vacuum, just the opposite, we live in the most stressed out time in history. We know that life can throw a lot of things at us, and many times we feel like, why is this happening to me! I know this; regardless of what the world throws at us; God’s peace will keep us! We have a job and a responsibility to receive what Jesus has given to us. Even though He has given it to us, we have to learn to receive it and walk in it. Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. There is a set of instructions to follow that tells us how to let God’s peace rule us. This is not automatic; we must obey God’s Word in order to receive this blessing of peace. Even though Jesus has already told us He has left us His peace, that does not mean that we are automatically walking in it. If that were so, there would not be any stressed out Christians. I believe if we all followed His precepts and walked according to His word, there would be no stressed out Christians. We know that is not the case, so what do we as believers need to do to become partakers of this awesome promise. Lets look at what we just read. First of all the Word is telling us we must let the peace of God rule in our hearts. We have to let it. Have you ever considered this? We have to give God permission to let His peace rule us. If we wont let it, it wont rule us. That may sound hard but it is the way it is. God is a gentleman and He wont come in uninvited or where He is not welcome. It may not be your intention to be unwelcoming towards Him but when you hold on to anxiety and care, that is exactly what you are doing. You may say well you just dont know what I am going through. That may be true but God does and He is the One that matters. He wants to take that burden from you and give you his peace. You have to let it go. — Simple English1 Peter 5:7 Throw all your worries onto God, because He cares for you. To throw means to use force to expel something away from you. This is not always easy but is something we can do with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. You have to throw the burden onto God and then receive His peace in place of that burden. You have to cast or throw your cares and worries onto God. He truly loves you and wants you to be anxiety free. This is not denial of reality; this is walking hand in hand with the one who sustains you. See the difference? The next thing Paul said to the Colossians was to be thankful. Be thankful for what? Be thankful you are alive unto God and not dead in your trespasses and sins. Be thankful for God’s provision and blessing. That is just a start. Have you ever considered that it is hard for God to be gracious to his children when they are not grateful for what they have? Start praising Him for what you have got. Give Him something to work with. Have a grateful heart! And finally Paul said to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Let God’s Word dwell in you! Let God’s Word dwell in you richly. Meaning, put God’s Word first place in your life. Keep it before your eyes. Dwell on the problem solver not the problem. It is impossible to do both at the same time. You must choose one or the other. It is up to you which one it is going to be. Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; God is even telling us which one to choose. He wants us to succeed. This is His desire for us His children. It is truly hard to have an anxious heart when you have cast your burden onto Him and are praising Him and giving Him thanks. A thankful heart is a heart that receives more of God’s blessings, I am convinced of it. I would like to go back and look at our opening Scripture in the Revised Standard Version. It goes hand in hand with what the A,postle Paul was saying to the Colossians. Phil:4: 6-8. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Gods Word is telling us to take some steps in order for us to get His peace. We too often want to have instant success, it just doesnt work that way, we have to follow Gods instruction book. His instruction book, the Word of God, or the Bible, gives us specific instructions. When we follow His precepts, we get His results. When we dont follow His precepts, we dont get His results. Its that simple. Lets look at what Paul said to the Philippians and see exactly what he said to do. 1.) have no anxiety about anything, That means not to worry. If your faith is in God and His Word then you will not be worrying. You can not walk in worry and faith at the same time. They do not co-exist. 2.) but in everything by prayer, and supplication That is going to the Father in Jesus name and making your request made known to Him.This is just another way of saying to petition God with your needs. He already knows your needs but He has told us to ask Him. James said Yet you do not have because you do not ask. (James 4:2) We must ask. 3.) with thanksgiving, Thanking Him that He hears your prayers, thanking Him for the answer. A faith filled prayer prays according to God’s Word and believes that the prayer has been heard. We can have confidence that our prayer has been heard when we pray this way. The apostle John said this very thing. 1 John 5:14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 4.) let your request be made known to God. His Word even tells us what to pray, we are to pray according to His will, or His Word as we just read in 1Jn. 5.) vs.8. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Do these things and God’s peace will rule your hearts and minds. I know this is true. Amen Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you want to be a joint heir with Christ? If so, I urge you to earnestly pray the following prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (Jn.6:37), So I know You wont cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Ro. 10:13). I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (Ro.10:9,10). I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, with the heart one believes to righteousness and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21), And I am saved! Thank You, Lord! I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God! Glory to God!!!! Amen. I was raised Catholic, and was born again at the age of 17. I received God’s call into ministry at the age of 19 and began to prepare for ministry. I graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1979. The Lord has called me to teach. My desire is to help all that are seeking to come into a deeper understanding of what God has done for us through Christ Jesus and I have started a web site for this purpose called The Olive Branch; Please visit us for more free studies and resources to help you on your journey. What Is Hypnotherapy? - Information On How Hypnotherapy Can Help You

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

By Phil Mattingly Hypnotherapy is a powerful and effective method of solving a wide variety of physical, mental and emotional problems. To understand fully how it can benefit you, we’ll look at: What hypnotherapy isWhen you’d want to use itWhy you’d want to use itHow it worksWho to use it withso that by the end of this article you’ll know all you need to use hypnotherapy effectively in your life. What is hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is a process in which a hypnotherapist helps a client to solve problems using hypnosis. These problems could be emotional - such as the fear of heights, behavioural - such as smoking or overeating, or physical - such as chronic pain or tension. A hypnotherapist is a person trained in hypnotherapy. The requirements to qualify as a hypnotherapist vary widely depending on where you live. You can find out more about the rules governing hypnotherapists where you live from the organisations listed at the end of this article. The job of the hypnotherapist is to help the client solve a specific problem by hypnotising them. This may happen just once, or the hypnotherapist and client may work together several times over a longer period. This process will give the client more control of their thoughts and feelings. As a result it will help them to change their behaviour and solve the problem. Hypnosis is a natural process by which a hypnotherapist can place a client in a particular state of consciousness called trance. In this state, the client is more open to suggestion and can more easily change how they think, feel and behave. Trance is generally experienced as a pleasant, relaxed state much like the moments directly before sleep. Hypnotherapy is separate from stage hypnosis. Stage hypnosis uses hypnosis for entertainment. The stage hypnotist creates a show in which the power of hypnosis is used to encourage the participants to behave in bizarre, amazing and entertaining ways. Since one of the cornerstones of therapy is trust between the client and hypnotherapist, a reputable hypnotherapist will only engage the client in activities which are comfortable, appropriate and helpful. When is hypnotherapy useful? Hypnotherapy is useful when you have a specific personal problem you want to solve. The sort of problems that hypnotherapy can be applied to include: Physical problems Hypnotherapy can help with chronic pain and muscular tension. It is effective both for relaxing the body and altering the way the brain perceives pain to reduce it’s intensity. Emotional problems These can include fear and anxiety; e.g. phobias, panic attacks, exam nerves etc., grief, anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem and many more. Behavioural problems These can include smoking, overeating, drinking too much and various other kinds of addictive behaviour. It is also possible to help with insomnia and disturbed sleep. In general, hypnotherapy provides a useful complement to other kinds of medical care. You should check carefully as to whether your hypnotherapist is medically qualified and only take medical advice from qualified professionals. Almost anyone with normal brain functions and no serious mental illnesses can be safely hypnotised. However, your chances of being hypnotised will vary depending on the hypnotherapist you work with. An experienced, professional hypnotherapist with whom you feel secure and supported is most likely to succeed. Why would I want to use hypnotherapy? First of all, hypnotherapy is quick and effective. It often helps people to make changes in their lives that they had previously been unable to accomplish, such as stopping smoking or flying in an aeroplane. Second, hypnotherapy can work where other things may have failed. Although there are a wide range of drugs and therapies that can help, none of them is effective in every case. Since hypnotherapy is different to any of these treatments, it is worth considering when other have failed. Third, hypnotherapy is safe and there are no physical side effects. In the hands of an experienced, compassionate and ethical hypnotherapist, hypnotherapy is a very safe form of treatment with few or no risks. How does hypnotherapy work? Hypnotherapy works through the use of hypnosis. This is the process by which the hypnotherapist helps the client attain a particular state of consciousness called trance. All of us experience altered states of consciousness such as sleeping or daydreaming every day. The trance state is different in that it has special properties. In an ordinary state, people are limited in their ability to respond to suggestions. They may find it hard to control their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. In particular, it is difficult for them to control their unconscious mind - that part of the mind that controls automatic activity such as emotions and habits. For example, when you got dressed today, you didn’t have to think about how to do it. You simply performed the task on a kind of autopilot using your unconscious mind. Sometimes that autopilot is very helpful, as when it drives you safely along the road. Sometimes it is unhelpful, as when you experience thoughts, feelings or behaviours you don’t like but can’t seem to stop. In trance, a client’s unconscious mind is open to the influence of the hypnotherapist and can thus be reprogrammed in the way the client desires. Naturally, this makes solving problems easy and rapid. Who should I use hypnotherapy with? The best approach is to contact an official organisation in the country in which you live. In the United Kingdom, you can use the General Hypnotherapy Register (www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com) In the USA, you can use the National Guild of Hypnotists (www.ngh.net) These organisations can put you in touch with their members in your area. You will also find others in the phonebook and on the Internet. In these cases, check with the hypnotherapist concerned regarding their qualifications and membership of professional bodies. Once you have some contact details, approach each hypnotherapist on the list. Many will offer some kind of free initial consultation. Firstly, use your judgement to decide if the hypnotherapist is right for you. Do you feel comfortable with them? Do you think they are the sort of person you would want to trust in helping you with personal problems? Then, ask if they can supply any testiomonials and whether they have worked with your sort of problem before. Apply all the rigour and careful thought you would use if hiring a lawyer, doctor or any other sort of professional. In Summary Hypnotherapy is a very useful process for solving physical, emotional and behavioural problems. It is a safe, effective and often rapid method of improving your life. In the hands of a competent and ethical hypnotherapist, and alongside any necessary professional medical care, it can provide great benefits. Herb Gardening With Culinary Herbs, Ornamental Herbs And Medicinal Herbs

Friday, May 9th, 2008

By Mary Hanna Herb gardening has been around for centuries and the joys of an herbal garden is well know to many gardeners. Even beginner gardeners can have a high quality of success by starting with the basics and working their way up to a more complicated herbal garden. You can plant a container herb garden or an indoor herb garden. There are three categories of herbs that can be grown in you herbal gardens, culinary herbs, ornamental herbs, or medicinal herbs. Culinary herb gardening’s purpose is to add spice and flavor to your cooking. Culinary herbs are the herbs that use fresh or dried leaves in cooking. Some of the classic culinary herbs are parsley, oregano, rosemary and basil. You may even want to plant some sage and thyme. There is a difference between herbs and spices. Spices are seeds, roots, fruits, flowers, and bark while, as mentioned above, culinary herbs are fresh or dried leaves. When considering your culinary herb garden your most important decision is the location. You will need a sunny spot with at least six hours of sun. The more sun the herb garden gets the more flavor will develop in the herbs. Try to place your culinary herb garden as close to the kitchen door as possible. This will ensure that the herbs will be used daily. A simple and delicious way to use basil is to slice some juicy ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Overlap them on a plate, sprinkle on some extra virgin olive oil and chopped basil. It is also good with a squeeze of fresh lemon. Anyone that has grown a culinary herb garden and used the fresh herbs will tell you that the fresh herbs are superior over the dried herbs. Ornamental herb gardening can make your gardens not only practical but beautiful too. By “ornamental” we mean that the primary current usage is purely decorative. Some of these ornamental herbs have a long history of medicinal or culinary usage. Pots of ornamental herbs add color and texture to balconies or patios. They are perfect for lining your flower beds. A good example of an ornamental herb is Dittany of Crete, a favorite oregano herb of many herb gardeners. It will form a low mound and produce leaves with fine silvery hairs. You would never want to use this in cooking, it is strictly for show. Rue is another good choice for garden borders. Its unusual blue green color offers contrast to bright showy blooms. The rue leaves can be used as a garnish but because of its bitter flavor does not work in cooking. Ornamental herbs are just what they say, ornaments for your gardens. Ornamental herb gardening will add texture and interest to your flower beds. Now we come to medicinal herbs. Before the 1900’s medicinal herbs were used widely in the United States. Somewhere in the 1960’s herbs used as medicine dwindled. Now, many doctors are prescribing medicinal herbs as well as mainstream medicine. There are three ways that the medicinal herbs work on the body. Medicinal herbs have been known to strengthen an organ so that it can heal itself. Some medicinal herbs purge the body of toxins and illness, while others build up the immune system which will help in retarding illness. There are many ways to use medicinal herbs. A few are infusions, herb vinegars, ointments, teas and tinctures. For example, to make a healing herbal tea, boil water and pour over the fresh herbs in a cup. Let it steep for 5 minutes but no longer then 10 for it will get bitter. The medicinal herb stevia can be used as a natural sweetener and is easy to grow in an herbal garden. It also decrease tooth decay and gum disease if used as a mouth wash. Before starting any course of medicinal herbs, be sure to notify your Doctor to see if they will interact with any medicines you are currently taking. These are some of the basics of the three herb groups. Plan your herb garden, pick a bright sunny place and plant your herbs. Remember you can plant an herb garden in the ground, as a container garden or an indoor herb garden. Happy Gardening! Copyright Mary Hanna, All Rights Reserved. New Year’s Fitness Resolutions - How to Set Them? Part 1

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

By Greg Ryan Mind Setting If this year is going to be any different you are going to have to think differently. However, your success now depends not on your past, but how you approach your future. I did not plan on becoming a champion bodybuilder much less did I think that twenty years later I would be still consistently exercising on a daily basis. However, this is what I did know way back when; I new deep down that one day at a time was all I could believe in. Then the next day, then the next, if only I could hang on one more day? I just knew that if I kept going something had to happen to my body and to my mind. The exercising just had to pay off. Guess what? One day, out of the blue it did,Dont be the one who quits one day to early- persevere, be determined and set your mind to a long healthy, happy life. Goal Setting First set a goal for the year. Most people go out of the gate real fast, look around and dont know either where they came from or what direction they are headed in. It is vital that you not just set goals, but you always keep the big picture in mind. Big Picture Goals No matter what goals you set for yourself, or who you are, you need to keep one thing in mind; you have got to be in this for the long haul. Deep inside you have to have just a little bit of hope for tomorrow, some good people around you even if it is temporary, and motives that come from your heart. Stop right here and read not one more word, if you are not going to be in this for the rest of your life. The reality is this; you will not just be able to reach a goal and stop exercising or eat what ever you would like. It does not work that way. It will never be a perfect situation for you. In order for you to get through the little things you have to keep the big picture in mind all the time. What does the big picture look like to you? Does it look like a perfect body or does it look like a better quality of life? The bigger picture is for LIFE! Yearly Goals Most people can not handle more than one big goal a year. When you set it is specific. (Write them down) Seasonal Goals Once youre the main goal is established you can now work backwards with seasonal goals. These are small incremental goals, usually in three month segments. Be sure to make them progressive as the months go by, building up to your main year end goal. (Write them down) Weekly Goals Some people have a hard time even thinking in three month segments. Its all you can do to get through the week. If this is the case, thats ok! Set a weekly goal. Do what ever it takes to get there. (I have to set goals and write down my times to take breaks and have lunch. So, dont think you are unusual because you have to have daily or weekly goals.) Realistic Goals One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to set an unrealistic goal. In some cases your responsibilities in life may not allow you to set lofty goals. You may have to take a step back and set smaller ones in order to attain them at this point in your life. It is much smarter to set realistic goals, attain them and get to your destination in a longer time frame than to try to shoot for the stars, miss and never reach your full potential.
